Dear Diary,

We had the most fun at Miss Nina's!

We were left there by Father and The Lady for quite a long time. I did feel a bit badly about it - who was there to companion them during my absence? What did they do without my 3 am dance parties under the bed? How did they awake each morning if I was not there to pounce on their chests?

During our stay, we had quite the time. Big Dog enjoyed his time laying in the sun. He was a bit miffed when we arrived since Miss Nina's house does not have a couch for him to lay upon, but it would seem that he figured out how to lay in the grass all the same. Big Dog also spent a bit of time chit chatting with fellow dogs. I found out Miss Nina's house is where he learned about "counter surfing" for food and garbage. Miss Nina sent Father a picture of him laying about in the yard trying to get the attention of some of the lovely girl dogs.

While Big Dog spent the time chin wagging, Mean Dog spent his week running around. Miss Nina would throw a ball and Mean Dog would beat all of the other dogs to go get it. He is so fast - one time, he even lept over a dog so he could be the first one to get the ball. I've never seen this sort of athleticism from Mean Dog before, but I like it. The more time Mean Dog spent running around, the less time he had to be unkind to me.

As for me, I spent my time at Miss Nina's following around Mean Dog, following around Miss Nina, and napping in the yard. It was lovely, but I did miss Father holding me.

Cheers,

Charles the Pug
